#cbias #ClipForSchool 10% Goes Back to Schools ad back to school brown rice grilled cheese Project A+ quinoa Safeway tyson Tyson Chicken Patties Tyson Grilled & Ready veggies wild rice

#ad Tyson’s Project A+ Program with Two Quick Recipes #ClipForSchool

There’s a few brands that I absolutely love and support wholeheartedly. Especially when it comes to cooking. My favorite kitchen and cooking brands are reputable and they put out products that work well with my family and the type of food that I like to feed them. More-so, when I notice a brand I already love getting behind causes that are important to me, it makes me want to sing their praises and share with everyone!

I’ve highlighted many times the various products in the Tyson Chicken line that I enjoy with my family and have also shared many different types of recipes that can be used with their line of products. I think it’s pretty accurate to say I’m a fan of the Tyson line of products, don’t you think?  Well, recently while shopping at Safeway I noticed an awesome thing they were doing for Back to School. Safeway was promoting a Back to School 10% School donation program, and one of the brands they were using for this was Tyson. In addition to that, Tyson has a program as well! Tyson’s Project A+ Program is an easy way for your school of choice to get extra cash for whatever it needs to succeed.

It’s easy to get started. You just go online to see if your school is already participating. If they are, you add your name to the email mailing list, and if not then it’s easy to get your school registered. You just fill out a few key information items and you’re on your way. It’s important to take note, that in order for your school to get started a submission form would need to be send with at least 100 Tyson A+ Program clipped labels. These would be submitted to Tyson Foods, and after processing your school receive $.24 for each label Tyson receives. Isn’t that awesome? I think it’s fabulous. Besides, what school couldn’t use some extra cash? Even if you homeschool, there’s still ways to bring in some money for that!

Interested in getting started?
Go to ProjectAPlus.Tyson.com, and Click the “Look up your school” button to do a quick search.
You can search by school name, zip code, or by state.
Locate your school in the list of search results.
If your school did not show up in the search results, it’s easy to register!
Enter the school name, address, phone number, school type and school level! I love that this program supports schools anywhere from Preschool through High School!
All done, easy-peasy!
For added shopping convenience, you can search for participating Tyson products, that way on your next shopping trip you know what to look out for!

Ever since the kids went back to school my schedule has been a bit haywire. I’ve become a bit disorganized and am attempting to get back into a schedule. Sometimes our nightly dinners become affected, and one of the reasons I love Tyson Products is I can purchase a few items and use them when I’m in a pinch. Their products are so easy to make and often you just need a few ingredients to make a fabulous meal come together! During this shopping trip I purchased two Tyson Products, and I’m going to show you two quick and easy recipes you can make with them for a delicious school night meal!
I decided to purchase the Tyson Chicken Patties and the Tyson Grilled and Ready Boneless Chicken Breasts. Both products can be used in such a variety of ways, I think they’re both an excellent choice to keep your freezer stocked with healthy and delicious items for quick meal preps!

Grilled Cheese with Tyson Chicken Patties Ingredients
  • 1 bag Tyson Chicken Patties
  • Whole Wheat Bread, two slices per sandwich
  • chopped spinach
  • 1 can sliced stewed tomatoes
  • Monterey Jack Cheese, sliced thinly
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
Grilled Cheese with Tyson Chicken Patties Directions
  • Cook patties as directed
  • For each sandwich, place sliced cheese on both slices of sandwich.
  • Place one cooked chicken patty on one side of the sandwich over cheese.
  • On the other side, place a little less than a handful of chopped spinach topped with 2-3 slices of stewed tomatoes (pat tomato slices down so they don’t soak your bread).
  • Close sandwich and heat one tablespoon of butter or margarine in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Once butter or margarine has melted, place sandwich in skillet and heat for a few minutes until bread is toasted.
  • Remove sandwich from skillet and melt the other tablespoon of butter or margarine.
  • Cook other side of sandwich in skillet. Cut and serve!
Tyson Grilled and Ready Chicken with Veggies over Wild Rice Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 bag Tyson Grilled and Ready Chicken Breasts
  • 3 cloved garlic, minced
  • 1/2 medium yellow onion, chopped
  • season to taste with lemon pepper, garlic salt, cumin, paprika, dried basil and a few squeezes of lemon juice
  • 1/2 large red bell pepper, sliced in small strips
  • 2 cups broccoli
  • 1 steamed packet of rice (I used a brown with wild rice and quinoa mix)
  • 1-2 teaspoons chopped fresh Italian parsley, for garnish
Tyson Grilled and Ready Chicken with Veggies over Wild Rice Directions:
  • Melt butter in large skillet and drizzle olive oil over medium heat
  • Place frozen chicken fillets in skillet with garlic and onion and let saute for a few minutes
  • Add seasonings, to taste
  • Add veggies and stir around. Cover for a few minutes to let chicken cook all the way and help steam the veggies.
  • Steam the packet of rice according to instructions
  • Once chicken and veggies are complete, place cooked rice in casserole dish, topping with chicken, veggies and any pan drippings.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley, and serve!

It’s also Vidalia Onion season 🧅 so I paired this seasonal favorite with pan-seared shrimp and veggies as a light rice bowl using your choice of grains.☺️This meal is an absolute delight!

(AD) There has been a lot of cooking going on this year, so I’ve tried to make life a bit easier by getting creative with my leftovers. These pulled pork totchos are a great example of leftovers with a few key ingredients to create something new to keep our meals exciting. Adding a few key ingredients like @lamorenausa adobo peppers and jalapeños and carrots definitely livens up something simple. La Morena peppers are hand selected, using only the highest quality peppers to bring you authentic home style flavors of Mexico. I purchased my La Morena items from my local Safeway, but you can find them at your favorite grocery store in the international food section. #PayItForwardwithLM #VivaLaMorena #WeCanWithLaMorena

INGREDIENTS:
- 32 oz tater tots
- 2 cups shredded cheese (Mexican blend + Pepper Jack)
- 2 cups prepared bbq pulled pork (check my pulled pork sliders recipe!)
- 1/2 can La Morena Adobo Peppers & Sauce
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
- 2 tablespoons ranch dressing
- 1 cup pico de Gallo
- 1/2 cup guacamole
- 3 chopped green onions
- 3-4 La Morena jalapeños and carrots, sliced

INSTRUCTIONS:
Prepare tater tots as instructed, in air fryer or oven. Heat oven to 450°.
Cover the bottom of a large cast iron skillet with the cooked tater tots.
Top with 1 1/2 cup of cheese.
Combine the chopped adobo peppers and sauce with the prepared bbq pulled pork. Spread the pulled pork mixture on top of the tater tots, then top with the remaining cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes.
Top with sour cream, ranch, pico de Gallo, guacamole, green onions, and sliced jalapeños and carrots.

Enjoy!! 😋

Happy December, all!! 🎄Since it’s basically Christmas now, it’s time to share ALL the holiday cookies!

Every year I join my friend @natashanicholes as she heads up her #HousefulofCookies virtual cookie swap, where many of us share some sweet treats for the holiday season.

This year I’ve created Cranberry Pistachio Citrus Cookies to share as my contribution. 🍪 I know that a lot of things have turned “virtual” throughout this year, but a little virtual bake-off is a fun way to connect with some of your favorite people!

Hello Instagram fam! 💖 There’s some new faces around here and it’s been a while since I showed mine!

I’m Dawn, creator of Mama Harris’ Kitchen, and I’m so glad you’re here with me! In this space I share my family-friendly recipes for all occasions, whether it be a 30-minute meal for those busy weeknight dinners or a full spread for entertaining a crowd - and everything in between.

Mama Harris’ Kitchen began back in 2012, in fact it’s 8 years this month! 🥳 What started as a way to document my newfound cooking hobby while managing my “new” life as a stay-at-home wife and mom to a 1 and 3 year along with teens and preteens, and it quickly grew into what it is now - a recipe resource for busy families like mine that enjoy flavorful and comforting home-cooking using pantry staples along with fresh and local ingredients as often as possible.

🍿Five fun facts about me:
1. I LOVE elephants! 🐘 I collect a lot of elephant items, whether it’s trinkets or artwork, notepads etc. I love what elephants symbolize and I truly love anything elephant related.
2. I’m a total plant lady! 🌱 I have about 35 houseplants, give or take, and there’s still more on the list of wants. Plants have become such a peaceful outlet for me, and I feel that they really center me within my space. I love the element plants bring to your space and the feel of your home with them in it, and new leaves are so exciting!
3. I have seven tattoos and I have plans for about eight more. 💉 Those that know me aren’t surprised, but those that follow me here tend to find it a bit surprising. 🙃
4. I’ve been a mother for a long time, over half my life! I’ve also been a lot of different “types” of mom - teen mom, single mom, working mom, stepmom, stay at home mom, PROUD mom, military mom, mother in law - the list goes on. No matter what, motherhood looks different for everyone and there’s unique challenges and experiences each mother faces. Please be gentle with yourself! ❤️At the end of the day we’re all just trying our best!
5. I’m a bit of an introvert, and often struggle with the “social” aspect of social media. I tend to go silent sometimes, but I’m working on it.

☀️Thank you for joining me here!
