My husband, “Big G”. He is my rock, my strength, my biggest fan and the love of my life.
I’m a Millwright wife, what does that mean? It means he works many long hours, which thankfully allows me to be able to be home with our children. It also means sometimes he travels and has to be away from us.
The big bonus is that he can fix anything around the house, and any car problems. Perfect right? And he has an amazing smile, which is what I fell in love with right along with a compassionate heart and a wonderful personality.
He’s also a great father to our children, and sometimes he helps in the kitchen, he specializes in pancakes and barbeque. Not at once!
My oldest son, “Boobie” (football nickname since age 12, given to him by my husbands best friend who just recently passed away.).
He’s 18 years old and just about to graduate from High School. He likes to help in the kitchen, and he loves to eat. He’s played football, played baseball, and ran track. I still can’t wrap my head around the fact I have an adult child!
He has plans after High School to join the Navy. He plans to be a part of the Military Police. He has also talked about joining the union with my husband if he doesn’t go with the Military. He’s highly intelligent and I know with dedication and hard work he can do anything he sets his mind to. He’s also great at making waffles and cakes!
“LIL G” is what I like to call my “bonus baby.” I inherited him when I married his father. He is 13 years old, and about to graduate 8th grade and embark on his new transition into High School!
He’s played football, baseball, and basketball. He’s a respectful young man, D-Man is his biggest fan, and he likes to dance and watch sports whenever he’s not playing them.
He’s a fickle eater, but I’ve managed to convince him to broaden his palette a bit, and so far he’s begun to like some foods he used to refuse, which makes me happy!
My daughter, “RiRi”. Not a girly-girly, not a tomboy. She’s 13 years old, and she’s finishing up her 7th grade year before she’s right up there in 8th grade.
She’s in a house full of boys, and she’s right in the middle. She’s a cheerleader and plays softball. She loves to bake, and cook breakfast, and also loves to read novels and write stories.
She’s my little assistant and such a great help, she helps me take pictures for this blog, she is also dad’s helper with all the outdoor jobs.
This girl is going to be able to hold her own, she can fix anything in the house and cook a good meal!
My son, “D-Man”. He is 4 years old going on 15. He loves his older brothers and can’t wait to play all the sports they play.
He is also always quick to tell me I’m the best cook in the whole world, and he is also always helping me in the kitchen and asking to make me a meal.
He has a huge personality and when he’s not trying to learn to cook he is singing, dancing, playing football, baseball, and basketball as well as teaching himself karate and attempting tricks on his bike and scooter.
He’s a daredevil for sure, and I’m pretty sure he runs this house!
My “RoRo.” He is the baby of the house, he’s two years old and is a night owl like his mommy. He loves to stay up late and play and dance alone when everyone else is asleep. This kid also has a hearty appetite, and loves to say how “yummy” everything is!
He’s an absolute sweetheart, loves to cuddle, and he’s always hungry.
He’s silly like his brothers, but only hams it up one on one, not in front of large audiences.
He’s a charmer too… well I’m pretty sure all my boys are!!
That’s me with my family. Yes, D-Man refused to smile and acted shy, I told you he ruled the house! |
Last but not least is our fur-babies! This is Chopper, I was 8 months pregnant with D-Man when we got him, he was 7 months old at the time.
He weighs in at a hefty 105 pounds, he’s very laid back and lazy now that he’s an old man at 5 years old. He and my husband share the same birthday, and we got him from an old friend of my husbands from high school.
This is Chynna, we got her on the last day of the year in 2011 when she was 4 months old, back when RoRo was just 8 months old. Now she weighs in at a petite 60 pounds. She is a bundle of energy, and wants love and affection constantly. We got her from my old high school friend too, funny story, right?
Her and Chopper just had puppies this past summer, it was a litter of 6!! Boy did I have my hands full when the kids went back to school after summer break! We’ve now found all the puppies wonderful homes, and all is normal in the Harris Household again!
