I'm involved in a few groups, one of them is my Think Outside the Blog group. In addition to that group, there's another group of ladies I've become very close to. #DeliciousPairings Pre-Football Party Breakfast with Starbucks and The Bakery at Walmart
I know I'm almost a week late with the Super Bowl post, but if you're a regular around these parts then you know I moved last week. It's been a hectic week and a half since the move, It honestly took us about two weeks to get all the way moved in. We started with the small stuff, then last week we had the moving truck to take the large items and that night we spent our first night in our new house. Then for about another week we were back and forth getting the rest of the small stuff, the ... continue reading...

Welcome to week 14 of our weekly Thursday Blog Hop, Think Outside the Blog. I feel like variety is the spice of life! I love different sorts of people, different sorts of music, different movies, shows, all types of different food. In person I'm rather quiet, but I'm always drawn to people that are different from myself. I have such eclectic taste in everything, and love to celebrate the uniqueness of all things. So rather than fitting in, I prefer things that are different. Not just because ... continue reading...

Easy Bacon and Egg Cups
This week is a bit busy for me, we're knee deep in our move and our household is finally feeling better from the cold and illness that we all had. D-Man's birthday was nice, and I'm also in the midst of planning his party which will be held right after we get settled into our new house. After about a week of oatmeal, soup, cough drops and a ton of medicine, I was in the mood for some food. I always like trying new things in the kitchen, especially when it comes to breakfast. I've seen these cute ... continue reading...
A very special four year old..
When Big G and I got married, we each came into our marriage with children of our own. Our kids got along great and we felt so blessed. They accepted each other as well as the two of us together and we were a wonderful little blended family. Before we had D-Man we discovered we were expecting a little blessing. We were all so excited!! Unfortunately at 12 weeks we lost that little angel, and our family was devastated. It was a really sad time for us, but we pulled through together and helped ... continue reading...

The Most Addictive Chocolate Chip Cookies
Now, I make a lot of different cookies in my house. Pretty often too. Cookies are fun to make, and quick and easy to prepare. Sometimes I like to make a unique combo for special occasions, or even cookie bars. But more often than not, my family requests the traditional type of cookies, like my peanut butter cookies or these delicious Chocolate Chip Cookies. We can never keep cookies for more than 24 hours without them being completely devoured. My husband likes to take them to work, packed ... continue reading...
Friday Letters – January 18th
A few bloggers I know (like my friend Sabz @ The Eclectic Grab Bag) have a thing they do every Friday, where they write a letter for each thing going on in their life. I know this past week or two I haven't been posting food and recipes as often as I'd like, so I thought it'd be fun to participate in the letters so you can see what I'm up to and why you haven't seen as much of me!!Dear Moving Boxes,Is it possible you can just pack yourself? Because I really do not want to!Dear D-Man & RoRo,Thank ... continue reading...

Give Breakfast a Wake-Up Call #JennieO4Kids
Growing up there were many mornings I skipped on breakfast. I'm a complete night owl, and not much of a morning person so as a kid I was always running late and just didn't make time for it. However, I do love breakfast and I always have. I remember in middle school and high school, when my skipping breakfast was at its peak, I was always tired, sluggish, and found it impossible to concentrate! As a parent, I realize the importance of a good morning meal to start out your day. I know ... continue reading...
Ham, Potato, Corn & Cheese Chowder with Fried Shallots
I love a good hearty soup after the holidays are over. You eat so much heavy foods, sweets, and appetizers that once the new year arrives you're ready for something new. Most people have a New Year's resolution to lose weight, and soups are great for that as well. Since it's also still so cold out, soup hits the spot just right and warms you up from the inside.I love a good chowder. Corn chowder and clam chowder are some of my all time favorite comforting soups. So while this ham and corn ... continue reading...

18 years ago from this moment…
18 years ago from this very moment I became a mother.I had no idea of what was in store for me.I didn't know the love I'd feel for my own child. No matter how I felt, no matter how frustrated or mad, how sad, disappointed, proud, ecstatic or any other emotion...the unwavering LOVE I could have for another human being.I had absolutely no idea...I had no idea the responsibility, and that sometimes I just really would not know the answers.I had no idea of the worry that would consume me, the ... continue reading...
Peanut Butter and Jelly Pop Tarts
My 3 year old D-Man is obsessed with Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches. When I say obsessed, I am absolutely not kidding. He has to have one a day. No, I have to limit him to just one a day. Some days I'm able to sidetrack him, and then 4:00 PM comes around, and he asks, "Wait, did I have a peanut butter and jelly today?" We try to trick him and tell him yes, but he says, "No, I didn't have one. I don't feel it in my belly." Haha. When I said that he runs this house, some of you may have ... continue reading...
