Did you know that I have a "thing" for coffee? I'm pretty sure I've shared my obsession love for all things coffee before, but if you follow me on Twitter or Instagram then I'm sure you know just how deep my love runs (pretty deep - like, it runs through my veins!). Well, since I love my coffee just that much, I decided to invite a few friends over for a coffee party. What better way to catch up on what we've been up to and have some great girl talk than over a cup of java. I, for one, cannot ... continue reading...

Delicious Butterscotch Cookies
One of my favorite quick treats has always been butterscotch pudding. The taste of butterscotch brings me back to my childhood, when I first fell in love and it always brings a sense of nostalgia -back when a cup of pudding was all it took to make me happy. Keeping along with that love of all things butterscotch, I've used butterscotch chips in a few of my other recipes like my cheesecake with butterscotch topping and my cookie bars. In this recipe, however, they are absolutely the star of the ... continue reading...
My Experience at BlogHer Food 2013!
Has it really been over a week since I flew back from BlogHer Food? After months of planning and anticipation, the weekend came and went in a flash and I was left sleeping every chance I could for days on end after it was all over. The weekend itself was such a whirlwind! I literally stepped off the plane Thursday afternoon, hit the ground running, and didn't get a break until my flight early Sunday morning. I was in food lover's heaven - an entire weekend devoted to food! Talking about it, ... continue reading...

Dear Big G,You're my hero! Thank you so much for being there with the kids this past week while I've been so busy! I know it's strange since I'm usually the one with the kids while you're out of town for work. It's a bit surreal for it to be this way, but I can't thank you enough for all your support and encouragement babe. Without you believing in me and in what we're building I couldn't do any of it! I love you!Dear RoRo,I hope you feel better soon, so glad your fever finally broke last night. ... continue reading...
Everyday Dairy for Summertime Fun with Safeway Savings!
Last week I went out of town for a few days. My last few days with the kids I was busy packing and getting our household prepared to run without me, so meals were light and easy - perfect for summer. While I was preparing to head over to my local Safeway store, I noticed that they were having a pretty amazing sale going on. Many of the items on sale were everyday dairy products and they were some of our favorites. For June Dairy Savings, if you purchase $15 or more in participating products, ... continue reading...

I'm currently in the air flying over Northern California, on my way to Austin, Texas to attend BlogHer Food 2013! Now here I am with almost a years worth of archives of recipes ... continue reading...

Slow-cooked Lemon-Orange Chicken in Gravy
In my part of the country it's been pretty hot lately. Matter of fact, this past few days has been forecasted to reach the triple digits! When it's that hot, the last thing I want to do is turn on the oven for anything. I like the kind of recipes where you just prepare and go. This is when my slowcooker gets utilized a lot! It's the perfect companion for this type of weather, sometimes you use the stove-top to sear your meat, but other than that the only preparation is preparing spices and ... continue reading...

Fish Tacos with Creamy Fish Taco Sauce
Growing up in California, I've always had access to Mexican food in many forms. From fast food, to Tex-Mex, taco trucks, taquerias, and even the nice fancy authentic restaurants. So it's no wonder that I make burritos, quesadillas, beans, taco salads, enchiladas, tacos and many other dishes. I love Mexican food, and one of my families favorite meals is fish tacos. I remember one time I went to this one little place that served the best fish tacos. I was hooked, and when that particular ... continue reading...
