I don’t know about you, but most mornings I hit the ground running. Every day I have so much to do, from writing and testing recipes to taking photos or editing them, as well as answering emails and everything else that being a food blogger entails. I have to admit that I had gotten used to the little ones in school so summer has been quite an adjustment, sometimes I wake up earlier or stay up later to balance it out so I can spend time with my kiddos and enjoy our summer. It’s no secret that I stay caffeinated and coffee is my drink of choice day or night. I just love a delicious cup of coffee, whether served warm or over ice.
Recently I discovered that Gevalia has come out with a new line of products, Gevalia Iced Coffee with Almond Milk and they come in three deliciously rich flavors: Caramel, Vanilla and Mocha. That’s a triple threat and I typically enjoy each of those three flavors regularly for my coffee so I was instantly both intrigued and excited to test these out.
Usually iced coffee is either watered down so you don’t get that same coffeehouse feel when it’s served over ice, or the coffee can be bitter. Not these! Gevalia Iced Coffee with Almond Milk is made with Arabica Gevalia Coffee so you get a rich coffee flavor free of any bitterness. The Almond Milk is the perfect sweetener and adds just the right amount of creamy without being overly sweet. Since I prefer Almond Milk with my cereal and my husband is lactose sensitive, these are such a great option for us both. He prefers his coffee cold over ice rather than hot, so I feel like I’ve been blessed by the coffee Gods to have found this product!
The cool thing about them is not only are they single serving size, but you can also chill them in the refrigerator and enjoy them on the go, just shake them up and twist off the cap. It’s resealable too, so no worrying about messes in the car!
I love to “pretty up” everything, and these are great poured over ice with a cute straw too. I’d love to incorporate the Gevalia Iced Coffee with Almond Milk into my next girls brunch, with pretty linens and happy straws.
Now, how about the taste? It’s rich with no bitterness, creamy without being overly sweet, and the flavor is delicious without being overwhelming. PLUS, it still has the original coffee flavor. I don’t know how they did it, but Gevalia pretty much nailed this iced coffee thing! Since I live in the valley, our weather has been in the triple digits lately so hot coffee isn’t always an option, even in the mornings. I love that I can just grab one of these babies and start my day, no prep work involved!
