Family giveaway ice cream kid-friendly peanut butter and jelly Pumpkin review

September Flavors at Baskin Robbins! {GIVEAWAY}

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. I was provided gift card by Baskin Robbins to facilitate my review, along with a gift card to give away to one lucky reader. As always, all opinions are my own

September Flavors at Baskin Robbins - Mama Harris' KitchenI’m so proud of my D-Man. He started Kindergarten just three weeks ago, and he’s been doing exceptionally well. So well, in fact, that when I ask his teacher how he’s doing, she tells me that he’s such a positive influence to the children that sit near him. He’s always well behaved and he never gets behavior warnings. Just last Friday he brought home his work folder, and we got a fun surprise. He was chosen to be his classes very first star student! We are so very proud of him.

This past weekend Big G was off work, so we decided to head over to Baskin Robbins for a fun treat since D-Man has been doing so well. He’s a huge fan of ice cream, so I knew he’d enjoy it. He was so excited about the gift card we were going to use and he was counting down the seconds till it was time to leave and he could get a scoop of any of the 31 flavors that Baskin Robbins is known for.

September Flavors at Baskin Robbins - Mama Harris' KitchenWhat’s cool about Baskin Robbins, and what you may not know, is that they change some of their flavors every month. Sure they keep some classics, such as my favorite Cherries Jubilee or even Chocolate Chip, but they often add in seasonal flavors and flavors of the month.

It just so happens that for the month of September the flavor is Pumpkin Cheesecake Ice Cream. Umm, yum! Seriously, you know I love pumpkin flavors and cheesecake is my weakness so this has got to be amazing right? Oh yes, once I learned about that I was ready to go!

Not only is Pumpkin Cheesecake a delicious flavor of the month, there are some other tasty flavors being highlighted.

  • Pumpkin Cheesecake – Features pumpkin and cheesecake flavored ice cream, ginger snap cookie pieces and a cinnamon cream cheese ribbon.
  • Peanut Butter ‘N Jelly – Peanut-butter flavored ice cream with grape jelly and peanut butter ribbons.
  • Quarterback Crunch – Vanilla-flavored ice cream with rice crunchies in a chocolate-flavored coating and a caramel ribbon.
  • German Chocolate Cake – Swiss chocolate ice cream with coconut, walnut pieces, fudge brownie pieces and caramel ribbon.
  • S’More the Merrier – Marshmallow and graham cracker flavored ice cream that features milk chocolate chips and a crunchy graham cracker ribbon.

September Flavors at Baskin Robbins - Mama Harris' KitchenBaskin Robbins to me is so nostalgic. I’ve always loved their ice creams since I was a kid, and I even remember daydreaming about working there as my first job. Unfortunately, that didn’t quite pan out for me, but it’s probably for the best as I’m sure I’d have gotten in trouble for snacking on the “merchandise” far too often.

September Flavors at Baskin Robbins - Mama Harris' KitchenEven though the Fall season is literally just around the corner, here in Northern California it’s been pretty warm lately so the idea of pairing ice cream with Fall Flavors is simply genius to me, and I just love whoever thought it up. Since it was hot we got cups with our cones just in case the ice cream dripped too much before we could eat it. I just love those classic pink spoons!

September Flavors at Baskin Robbins - Mama Harris' KitchenI had to have my pumpkin and RiRi ordered the Quarterback Crunch. I’m going to admit to digging a sample spoon into each flavor because I had to share my thoughts with you all.

The pumpkin flavor is so reminiscent of Fall desserts and I’m here for it. The Quarterback Crunch was also good, especially if you love caramel. You could taste the little rice crunchies, so it’s almost like those rice treats drenched in caramel. Yum, right?

September Flavors at Baskin Robbins - Mama Harris' KitchenRoRo ordered the Peanut Butter ‘N Jelly ice cream, and it tastes just like the sandwiches I make them all the time! Big G enjoyed it too, since that’s his favorite sandwich.

September Flavors at Baskin Robbins - Mama Harris' KitchenIt was a fun way to take some time and enjoy one another, is such a nostalgic way. I just love going to ice cream shops for that.

September Flavors at Baskin Robbins - Mama Harris' KitchenWhat I also love is that you can add any of these pretty toppings to your ice cream to customize it however you like. I can think of a few different ways to enjoy these flavors with this candy!

September Flavors at Baskin Robbins - Mama Harris' KitchenD-Man enjoyed his treat, and he was happy to have us all together on a beautiful afternoon. He loves pumpkin flavors too, so he enjoyed his!

September Flavors at Baskin Robbins - Mama Harris' KitchenI just love family days like this!

September Flavors at Baskin Robbins - Mama Harris' KitchenThen of course these two start messing around! So much fun!

Do you have any ice cream shop memories? What I also love about Baskin Robbins is that many of their flavors are available for pick up as well, not to mention their cakes for all occasions! We’ve ordered cakes for many birthdays, Mother’s Days and we even ordered these cute mini turkey cakes last Thanksgiving! Delicious and beautiful!

I’m giving you an opportunity to enjoy some of the newest flavors with your own family. One lucky reader will win a $10 gift card to Baskin Robbins for the flavors of your choice! Here’s the details below.

I haven’t seen it there for a while, but my all-time favorite from Baskin Robbins was their watermelon ice cream. It had little candy seeds in it, it was so good!

It’s also Vidalia Onion season 🧅 so I paired this seasonal favorite with pan-seared shrimp and veggies as a light rice bowl using your choice of grains.☺️This meal is an absolute delight!

(AD) There has been a lot of cooking going on this year, so I’ve tried to make life a bit easier by getting creative with my leftovers. These pulled pork totchos are a great example of leftovers with a few key ingredients to create something new to keep our meals exciting. Adding a few key ingredients like @lamorenausa adobo peppers and jalapeños and carrots definitely livens up something simple. La Morena peppers are hand selected, using only the highest quality peppers to bring you authentic home style flavors of Mexico. I purchased my La Morena items from my local Safeway, but you can find them at your favorite grocery store in the international food section. #PayItForwardwithLM #VivaLaMorena #WeCanWithLaMorena

INGREDIENTS:
- 32 oz tater tots
- 2 cups shredded cheese (Mexican blend + Pepper Jack)
- 2 cups prepared bbq pulled pork (check my pulled pork sliders recipe!)
- 1/2 can La Morena Adobo Peppers & Sauce
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
- 2 tablespoons ranch dressing
- 1 cup pico de Gallo
- 1/2 cup guacamole
- 3 chopped green onions
- 3-4 La Morena jalapeños and carrots, sliced

INSTRUCTIONS:
Prepare tater tots as instructed, in air fryer or oven. Heat oven to 450°.
Cover the bottom of a large cast iron skillet with the cooked tater tots.
Top with 1 1/2 cup of cheese.
Combine the chopped adobo peppers and sauce with the prepared bbq pulled pork. Spread the pulled pork mixture on top of the tater tots, then top with the remaining cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes.
Top with sour cream, ranch, pico de Gallo, guacamole, green onions, and sliced jalapeños and carrots.

Enjoy!! 😋

Happy December, all!! 🎄Since it’s basically Christmas now, it’s time to share ALL the holiday cookies!

Every year I join my friend @natashanicholes as she heads up her #HousefulofCookies virtual cookie swap, where many of us share some sweet treats for the holiday season.

This year I’ve created Cranberry Pistachio Citrus Cookies to share as my contribution. 🍪 I know that a lot of things have turned “virtual” throughout this year, but a little virtual bake-off is a fun way to connect with some of your favorite people!

Hello Instagram fam! 💖 There’s some new faces around here and it’s been a while since I showed mine!

I’m Dawn, creator of Mama Harris’ Kitchen, and I’m so glad you’re here with me! In this space I share my family-friendly recipes for all occasions, whether it be a 30-minute meal for those busy weeknight dinners or a full spread for entertaining a crowd - and everything in between.

Mama Harris’ Kitchen began back in 2012, in fact it’s 8 years this month! 🥳 What started as a way to document my newfound cooking hobby while managing my “new” life as a stay-at-home wife and mom to a 1 and 3 year along with teens and preteens, and it quickly grew into what it is now - a recipe resource for busy families like mine that enjoy flavorful and comforting home-cooking using pantry staples along with fresh and local ingredients as often as possible.

🍿Five fun facts about me:
1. I LOVE elephants! 🐘 I collect a lot of elephant items, whether it’s trinkets or artwork, notepads etc. I love what elephants symbolize and I truly love anything elephant related.
2. I’m a total plant lady! 🌱 I have about 35 houseplants, give or take, and there’s still more on the list of wants. Plants have become such a peaceful outlet for me, and I feel that they really center me within my space. I love the element plants bring to your space and the feel of your home with them in it, and new leaves are so exciting!
3. I have seven tattoos and I have plans for about eight more. 💉 Those that know me aren’t surprised, but those that follow me here tend to find it a bit surprising. 🙃
4. I’ve been a mother for a long time, over half my life! I’ve also been a lot of different “types” of mom - teen mom, single mom, working mom, stepmom, stay at home mom, PROUD mom, military mom, mother in law - the list goes on. No matter what, motherhood looks different for everyone and there’s unique challenges and experiences each mother faces. Please be gentle with yourself! ❤️At the end of the day we’re all just trying our best!
5. I’m a bit of an introvert, and often struggle with the “social” aspect of social media. I tend to go silent sometimes, but I’m working on it.

☀️Thank you for joining me here!
