For my readers in the San Francisco Bay Area that love food, I have a treat for you!
On Saturday, October 3, 2015 Chef Cat Cora will be at the Macy’s in San Francisco presenting a live Q&A session along with co-host Liam Mayclem. You will hear all about Cat’s no-holds-barred memoir on Southern life, Greek heritage, and the meals that have shaped many of her memories!
If you’re not familiar with Chef Cat Cora, or your memory is fuzzy, here’s some more details. Cat Cora was the very first Iron Chef on Food Network and also co-hosts Around the World in 80 Plates on Bravo and is the author of the memoir, Cooking as Fast as I Can. One of my favorite recipes of Cat’s is her Halibut with Pepitas, capers, cherry tomatoes and basil. It’s delicious without being super fancy and unattainable, which I really like. Her cooking style is simple, yet sensational using a “work with what you have” ethic that I use in my own recipes. Cat is also heavily involved in philanthropy work, donating her name and her time to a handful of charities close to her heart.
