Sunrise Moscato Mimosas are made to serve for that special brunch or favorite occasion. Not only are they tasty, but they are so impressive and pretty! About a year ago I held a fun brunch where a few of my friends joined me for a little cake decorating girls brunch. We had a lot of fun and I learned a thing or two about frosting tips and different ways to decorate and use fondant. During this little brunch I set out a few different snacks and I also had everything on hand for these mimosas. I had first tried this bubbly red moscato a few years ago when I created a variety of wine pairings and I just fell in love with it.Whenever I have little occasions I make sure to pick up a bottle, so I wanted to try it in mimosas for a little red twist. It was a happy accident that we discovered if you pour these mimosas in a certain order you’re left with a sunrise effect.
I’ve been meaning to share the recipe every since, especially after sharing a few of the photos from the party I immediately received questions on how to make this drink and what was in it. It’s just so lovely and the colors definitely makes an impression. Honestly, I really loved these drinks and they were such a hit at our little party. I plan on making these again Christmas morning, Mother’s Day, and any other fun occasion that may occur!
Ingredients for Sunrise Moscato Mimosas:
- 1/3 orange juice (no pulp)
- 2/3 bubbly or sparkling red moscato
- splash cranberry pomegranate juice
- cranberries, for garnish
- orange slices, for garnish
Directions:
Begin by pouring the orange juice into your glass. You should only fill the glass 1/3 of the way with the orange juice.
Slowly pour the Bubbly Red Moscato. Pour too fast and it’ll mix with the orange juice and you won’t get the cool color effect.
Top with a splash of cranberry juice. I used a mix of cranberry pomegranate, but it’s up to you. Garnish with a sweet, ripe orange and a few fresh cranberries for a festive glass.
- ⅓ orange juice (no pulp)
- ⅔ bubbly or sparkling red moscato
- splash cranberry pomegranate juice
- cranberries, for garnish
- orange slices, for garnish

This looks really good, Dawn. Maybe I will try it with maybe a riesling or vouvray since moscato is a bit too sweet for me.

These look incredible and since I’ve been rocking a sweatshirt that says “running kettle bells yoga and mimosas” you know these are on my must-try list! Yum!

Dawn,
It is such a treat when I attend a party with a signature cocktail. Bonus points for presentation–and your mimosas fit the bill on both accounts. What a terrific idea!
Thanks!

Tried it- tasted good but the orange juice and moscato mixed together I poured it REAL slow too. Bummer!

I also poured slowly per the directions and it mixed together. Any ideas as to how to get the sunrise effect are welcomed.

Orange juice first, then the moscato, then the cran juice. Pour slowly so it doesn’t mix and don’t stir.
