A few years back was when I really started to get into cooking. If you’re read my backstory, you know that it all started at a time when money was tight and our family was adjusting to a lot of things. I began cooking and making things from scratch because it was just more cost efficient. During that time I also dabbled in clipping coupons, which unfortunately took a lot of time and planning and I just didn’t have the time. What I love in this digital age of phones, tablets, communication and technology is that there are many things available to help us simplify. There’s apps on our phones that we can tap and with just a few clicks we are able to find the best deals in our area and save a good amount of money! Walgreens, my favorite pharmacy, has an online app that I’ve used a long to for my prescriptions. It makes it easy to order a refill and see when it’s ready. What I recently discovered is that you also have the ability to virtually “clip” coupons based on your location and the ads in your area. Genius! Walgreens is literally just up the street from me, and sometimes I just need to stop in for a few things really quick and I don’t need to go to a big grocery store for that. They actually have quite the selection of grocery items, and with a quick tap on the app I can “clip” paperless coupons and save on my shopping trip. For a busy foodie mom like me, quick and efficient gets all my love! It’s easy, just open your Walgreens app, go to Weekly Ad & Coupons, then click on Clip coupons to your Balance Rewards Card. Here you will see all of the coupons available in your area, and for each one that you would like to use, just click the category that you would like to “shop” in. Once you see an item you may purchase, click Clip to Card. It will instantly “clip” and the number will be reflected in the top left corner with an estimated savings dollar amount next to it. Easy, simple, and efficient. Perfect for me! I often “clip” while I shop because it’s usually a last minute quick trip to Walgreens for me to pick up last minute essentials.
