Smoky Turmeric Cauliflower Rice is a delicious way to substitute rice, corn, or even ground meat in meals. This recipe is grain and gluten-free, Keto, Paleo, Whole30 friendly, and low-fat/carb.
Begin by adding avocado oil to a medium pot or sauté pan over medium-low heat.
Once oil has heated up, add the garlic and stir. Sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
Add the riced cauliflower, stirring to combine the garlic with the cauliflower.
Continue to stir leisurely as the cauliflower softens for about 4-5 minutes.
Add the basil, turmeric, paprika, sea salt. lemon pepper, and herb spice blend.
Mix to combine the seasonings, continuing to sauté.
Cover and reduce heat to simmer for 6 minutes.
**Depending how much moisture the cauliflower has, you may want to leave the pot uncovered for a bit.
Once the "rice" is cooked through and softened, remove from heat.
Serve with a variety of meals, cauliflower rice is a good substitute for rice, corn, and even meat in some meals!
Cover and refrigerate any leftovers.
Enjoy!
Notes
If you've purchased a cauliflower head, slice from the stem and cut the florets into similar sizes. To achieve cauliflower "rice" you can pulse in a food processor, or grate on a box grater.
