Roman Meal Bread – Bakery Fresh Whole Grains {GIVEAWAY!}

roman meal bread 4

Disclosure: I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Roman Meal. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for participating. I have a confession to make. I have a love/hate relationship with sandwiches. You see, my husband LOVES sandwiches. Loves them. If he could, he'd take three sandwiches to work a day. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. What's even worse is that now this has rubbed off on our youngest boys. Every day D-Man wants a sandwich to take to school in his lunch box. Then when he gets home he wants another sandwich. Then there's RoRo, he could eat 3 sandwiches a day too! Now, call me crazy, of course sandwiches are easy to make. I know many women would LOVE to have this problem that their husband and kids always want sandwiches. But I'm a food blogger, and sandwiches can be so boring! As you can tell, I'm not much of a sandwich person. Actually, I take that back. I love hot sandwiches. Toasted or … [Continue]

Honey Teriyaki Boneless Chicken Wings

honey teriyaki boneless chicken wings #ChicksWingIt #WingItWednesday - Mama Harris' Kitchen

For many, many years I avoided chicken with bones. It's actually one of the main reasons I shied away from wings for so long. Let's be honest, bone-in chicken is just messy. You fight for your food and try to get all the leftover meat in between each and every bone. Wings aren't big to begin with, so it feels so tedious, doesn't it? Granted, the wing recipe that Mandi over at Chewsy Lovers and I have been sharing for Wing It Wednesday are delicious and I have gotten over my aversion to bones, but sometimes a boneless wing is just so satisfying. Just dip and eat, no work involved. Unless you're the one making it, of course! They key to a good boneless wing is a good crunch, that way once you add the sauce it doesn't make them too soggy. Now, of course with all our wing recipes, you can pick and choose the method of cooking and then just use whichever sauce you like. This is why each week I'm trying to share a different cooking approach and it's up to you to mix and match however … [Continue]

Disclosure: This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. As always, all opinions are mine alone. We're only a few weeks away from the official beginning of Fall, and I'm already knee deep in Fall Recipes. I just can't help it, Fall to me is cool, brisk weather, when leaves change color and the sun sets earlier. It's also cinnamon, pears, apples and caramel, and a season for baking. Can you tell it's the most wonderful time of the year in my eyes? I love everything about Fall Recipes. What I love even more is that not only is October is both National Apple Month AND National Caramel Month - but there's also a National Caramel Apple DAY in October! To … [Continue]

It's Wednesday, do you know what that means?! It's our second installment of #WingItWednesdays hosted by myself and my friend Mandi at Chewsy Lovers, and we're showing you how #ChicksWingIt! Yes, both of our husbands love to grill on the barbecue, but we're showing that we can make some killer wings for tailgate season too! Last week I shared a Crispy Baked Buffalo Wing recipe, and Mandi shared her Hot Lemon Pepper Wings - Restaurant Style. Yummm, my mouth is watering just thinking about them both! This week I decided to bring you something a little different. We all love barbecue wings, but I decided to add a variation to the mix, just because I love that sweet and spicy combination … [Continue]

Jerk Chicken Wrap

Disclosure: I participated in an Influencer Activation Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for the Florida Department of Citrus. I received a promotional item to thank me for participating and, as always, all opinions are my own. You may not know this about me, but I'm not a big juice drinker. Too many juices are full of sugar and not enough nutrients for me to sip it daily. However, there's one juice I do drink and that is Orange Juice. Specifically, orange juice that comes from real Florida oranges. Now that the kids are back in school I have to worry about them bringing nasty germs into our home, this year more than ever because the littlest ones are in school now too. So … [Continue]

Disclosure: This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. As always all opinions are mine alone. What's your favorite way to hang out with your family? For us, it's movie nights. We all sprawl all over our sectional with snacks and drinks and watch a good movie. Sometimes we watch old movies (my husband is obsessed with 80's movies) and sometimes it's a brand spanking new release. One thing that we can all agree on is the MARVEL® movies. You know the ones, they are based on the old characters from comic books. I've loved them as long as I can remember. My dad collected comic books as a kid and teen and his love of the characters rubbed off on me. When I met … [Continue]

Guess what, good people!? Football season is upon us, and my guys couldn't be more excited. While I do love watching my kids play and cheering for my favorite team, really I'm just here for the food and the party. Can you blame me, though? I love getting together with my family and friends, the playful banter that comes with fans of rival teams, and all of the awesome and amazing food that we love to serve during football season. Now, I've shared plenty of football recipes for game day get togethers like Potato Skins, a "Super" Spinach Bowl, 7 layer dip, BBQ Baked Beans, and Pulled Pork - I've also shared a football themed birthday party and some ideas for game day parties. Ok, hold … [Continue]

As always, all opinions are my own.Mmmm, pasta. I just love cooking with pasta. Whether it's served on the side, or as a part of a meatless meal, or even an easy one pot meal - sometimes pasta just hits the spot. You know who else loves pasta? Kids! I know mine do. When I first started getting into cooking, most of my dinners always included some pasta in some sort of manner. There's so many different forms, shapes and sizes that it comes in too. Shells, elbows, bows, and long noodles, it's an easy way to make … [Continue]

Baked Spice Cake Doughnuts made with Olive Oil

Baked Spice Cake Doughnuts made with olive oil

Did you know that August is National Olive Oil Month? Not only is that a thing, but Pompeian is doing their part to celebrate. In honor of National Olive Oil Month, Pompeian is encouraging people to take the Pompeian Pledge by swapping butter for olive oil in everyday recipes. I took the pledge myself, and have had fun throughout the month of August swapping out butter for olive oil in some of my favorite recipes. I thought a great challenge for this would be to use it in baked goods like cake or cookies. So I decided to make some Baked Spice Cake Doughnuts, which is slightly reminiscent of my Pumpkin Spice Bread Muffins and my Carrot Cake Cupcakes, without pumpkin or carrots of course. … [Continue]

The older kids just started school, summer is winding down, football season is picking up with high school football games, daily practice, and then along comes homecoming and all that fun stuff. It's also when Lil G's birthday rolls around. Every year when we celebrate his birthday we have to look deep into his schedule to plan dates and times that coordinate with our other friends whose children are involved in sports and other extracurricular activities. I get it, we're all busy. So while Lil G's birthday isn't until … [Continue]
