Mini Breakfast Quiche with Hormel Pepperoni

As always, all opinions are mine alone. #PepItUp #CollectiveBias Growing up I remember my mom serving these  cute mini quiche's often. There were the perfect finger food at parties, work pot-lucks, and as an appetizer. I've never been able to forget about these super delicious little bites, and I even have a recipe that's proven pretty popular that's a full pie quiche. Recently I spotted these adorable little mini Hormel pepperoni package, and seeing the tiny mini pepperoni reminded me of those mini quiche's I loved. I just had to incorporate it into a breakfast recipe. Mini pepperonis, mini breakfast quiche. It's a match made in heaven! CLICK HERE to save $1.00 on the purchase of any two (2) HORMEL® Pepperoni packages (while supplies last)! Now, I did make these for the impending holiday season since these are the perfect kind of breakfast when it's busy. However these would be great year … [Continue]

Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Beets and Carrots

roasted sweet potatoes, beets and carrots #PantryInsiders #ad - Mama Harris' Kitchen

Recently I discovered that Pompeian has a new product in their line up, the Coconut Oil Non-Stick Cooking Spray. Coconut oil has gotten pretty trendy over the last few years, and rightfully so. It has many nutritional benefits and is used in a lot of gluten free and vegan recipes. The Pompeian Coconut Oil Spray contains no propellants in the spray, only coconut oil. It also has a smoke point of 420 degrees, so you can use it in recipes that are cooked at a higher temperature than most. A lot of my roasted vegetable recipes contain olive oil, but olive oil has a lower smoke point, so it's actually not an ideal oil for roasting - at least not the kind I was using. (the blends work amazing with this!) Even though the Pompeian Coconut Oil Spray is touted as being great on seafood and marinades, I thought it would be fun to use it to roast some delicious and colorful root veggies. My daughter, RiRi, decided to become a vegetarian a few months ago. Since then, I've tried to accommodate … [Continue]

10 Holiday Pies to try this Season

seasonal holiday pies - Mama Harris' Kitchen

Disclosure: My “10 Pies for the Holidays!” recipe collection is part of a  sponsored opportunity by Foodie.com. I personally selected each recipe to be added to the collection. As always, all opinions are my own. One of my favorite desserts, besides cookies, is pie. I prefer pie over cake even. Something about the crust, and the filling. The no bake filling or the the baked pies, and then you can top them with whipped cream, meringue, or a combination of many other toppings. I was writing recipes this week for Thanksgiving next week, and realized I don't have very many pie recipes on my site, especially for the holidays. So I went searching for some Fall and Winter themed pies that are … [Continue]

Snack Time with Reese’s Spreads!

snack time with reese's spreads #AnySnackPerfect #shop - Mama Harris' Kitchen

Disclosure: This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. As always, all opinions are mine alone.  In my house we love our snacks. My husband has a sweet tooth so whenever he heads to the store he ends up picking up Reese's cups, his favorite candy. While I love candy I also love chewy snacks with a bit of saltiness to them. One of my favorite things is the sweet and salty combination of granola bars. Last week I was at Walmart and I happened to attend a live demo sharing a new product, Reese's Spreads. At the live demo there was a taste test with the Reese's Spreads over sliced apples. Such an easy snack, but think of the classic flavors of peanut butter and … [Continue]

Disclosure: This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and Quaker. As always, all opinions are mine alone. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned before about my husbands love of oatmeal. We go through those large 42 ounce canisters in about 2-3 weeks, so recently when I was at Target shopping for more I noticed the gorgeous holiday packaging on the Quaker Old Fashioned Rolled Oats. It's a beautiful scenic landscape that is reminiscent of everything I imagine a white Christmas to be throughout my childhood memories. You see, I grew up in Northern California, and we don't see snow too often until we go looking for it and travelling on purpose. We didn't get those school days where … [Continue]

Chocolate Cupcakes with Marshmallow Cream Frosting

Chocolate Cupcakes with Marshmallow Cream Frosting #BigHero6 #shop #cbias - Mama Harris' Kitchen

Disclosure: This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. As always, all opinions are mine alone. There's a new Disney movie coming out this week! Have you seen the previews for Big Hero 6? Every time they come on TV my boys stop whatever they are doing and stare at the tv. They start cracking up laughing and Baymax is already their favorite character. I think it's a given that this will be one movie we head to the theaters to see. With most movies we wait until they come out to video. Sometimes it's just too much to get our whole family to the movie theater. With everyone's different schedules, it can be difficult to gather all the kids together at a decent … [Continue]

11 Recipe Ideas for Leftover Halloween Candy

halloween candy recipes - Mama Harris' Kitchen

I can't believe it's already November! We had a fun Halloween, although it was different than years past because it was seriously storming in Northern California. Rain kept a lot of the trick-or-treaters away and while we had plans to go to the harvest festival at our local church, we also planned to do a little trick-or-treating ourselves. Unfortunately because of the weather we didn't end up going, because even when it cleared up a bit all the houses had closed up shop! So I decided to share a few of the recipes I've created that show how you can use some of that leftover Halloween candy in some fun ways. Whether you didn't get any trick-or-treaters and are left with an abundance of … [Continue]

Creamy Mixed Berry Oatmeal

Mixed Berry Oatmeal with Driscoll's Berries #BerryNOats - Mama Harris' Kitchen

Part of my job is to share with you all of the varieties of food holidays and give you some recipe inspiration to celebrate. Now I can't possibly share each and every holiday with you, because there are so many, but I will share some of my favorites. October 29th is National Oatmeal Day and I was going to bring cookies or bars, but I decided to do a good old fashioned bowl of oatmeal and add a few custom twists to make it unique. The first thing I did was add lots of different berries from Driscoll's. You may remember that I do love my berries, a few months back I made a luscious bundt cake with ALL the berries too! Berries are low in calories, high in fiber and contain vitamins and … [Continue]

As always, all opinions are my own. Did you know that October is National Apple Month? I bet you didn't, but that's what I'm here for. To share all of the National food holidays there are to be had, and this one is really a thing. It's also National Pizza Month and National Caramel Apple Day falls on October 31st. It's no wonder October is such an awesome month, right? I've gathered together a bunch of apple recipes from friends of mine, some where the apple is the star ingredient and others where it's an … [Continue]
